Wireless network says validating identity
Check Specify Authentication mode and choose User Authentication.
I have a HP Mini 110-1000, in connecting to the router by its HP Wirless Assistant, it has a message saying, "Windows was unable to find a certificate to log you on to the network . On the other hand, the wireless network connection keep showing 'validating identity '.Also, a third laptop in the house (Vista OS) works fine with the same router that won't work with the two XP laptops. Thank You Very Much, Educated Guess I'd suggest doing this first: 1. When I try to reconnect, it grinds away for 10-15 minutes, saying, "Validating Identity" then I get the "Limited or No Connectivity" message. This unit was recently reformatted, but I haven't run malwarebytes or adaware or anything to see if that would clear it up. Go to Start - Control Panel - Network Connections 2. Let me know how that goes Obmute, thanks for your suggestion. The network name for the secure wireless network is eduroam. The wireless Network Authentication type is WPA2 Enterprise. If your wireless device does not support WPA2/AES, select WPA authentication and TKIP encryption. The "EAP Authentication Type" or "Outer Authentication Protocol" is PEAP or PEAPv0. Your password should be the password you use to access Office 365. If asked for an "Outer Identity", "Anonymous Identity" or "Roaming Identity", leave it blank. You should choose to Validate the Server Certificate.
